Baku, July 12, AZERTAC
“Five billion dollars were invested in Azerbaijan’s economy in six months of this year,” said President Ilham Aliyev as he addressed a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on results of socio-economic development in the first half of 2017 and objectives for the future.
The President said: “Today, investment making is declining in almost all countries because of financial problems. However, investments are being made in Azerbaijan and the major part of this are foreign investments. Therefore, Azerbaijan is a very attractive country for foreign investors. Why? Not only because there is a good investment climate in Azerbaijan. But because Azerbaijan is a land of stability and investors make investments only in stable places. The number of stable countries decreases. Therefore, I’m sure that more investors will choose Azerbaijan in the future,” the head of state added.
