President Ilham Aliyev receives credentials of incoming Finnish Ambassador VİDEO
Baku, November 15 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received credentials of newly-appointed Finnish Ambassador Christer Michelsson.
The Ambassador passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
The Finnish diplomat handed over his credentials to the Head of State.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the Ambassador.
The Head of State hailed development of bilateral bonds between Azerbaijan and Finland, saying the two countries’ people enjoy longstanding historical ties.
President Ilham Aliyev praised high-level reciprocal visits between the two countries as a good signal of the cooperation, speaking of the visits of the Finnish President to the country and his visits to Finland.
The Azerbaijani leader noted there were great opportunities for establishment of strong partnership in political, economic and cultural fields.
Christer Michelsson said Finland is interested in expanding bilateral ties with Azerbaijan.
The Ambassador noted the importance of reciprocal visits at different levels in enhancing bonds between the two countries.
The Finnish Ambassador said he would spare no efforts to contribute to expanding the bilateral ties.
