President Ilham Aliyev receives credentials of incoming Zambian ambassador VİDEO
Baku, November 22 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today accepted credentials of new ambassador of Zambia Frederick Shumba Hapunda.
The diplomat passed along a ceremonial guard of honor.
President Ilham Aliyev had a conversation with the ambassador.
Mr. Frederick Shumba Hapunda conveyed greetings of Zambian President Michael Sata to the Head of State.
He hailed rapid development processes in Azerbaijan. The diplomat said Zambia was interested in development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in the fields of energy, industry, tourism, agriculture and trade.
The diplomat said he would spare no efforts to contribute to expanding the bilateral ties on these fronts.
Mr. Frederick Shumba Hapunda noted there were ample opportunities for development of the Azerbaijan-Zambia relationship.
He said Azerbaijan and Zambia were actively cooperating within UN and other international organizations.
The Head of State stressed the importance of exploring opportunities for development of bilateral ties between the two countries in various directions, including economy, trade and business.
President Ilham Aliyev noted the significance of active cooperation between Azerbaijan and Zambia within the United Nations.
The Azerbaijani President expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries would be expanded during Frederick Shumba Hapunda`s tenure.
The Head of State asked the diplomat to pass on his greetings to the Zambian President.
