Romanian State Secretary hails first Global Forum on Youth Policies
State Secretary at the Romanian Ministry of Youth and Sport Cristian Cosmin has stressed the importance of the first Global Forum on Youth Policies in terms of solving the problems faced by youth.
“I hope that the forum will help us find the best solutions for youngsters, provide them with good jobs, ensure their good transition from school to work and diminish unemployment,’ Mr. Cosmin told AZERTAC`s correspondent on the sidelines of the Baku-hosted forum.
“Now there are 75 million unemployed youngsters all over the world, and I think the most important thing will be to find a solution for them to integrate themselves into the labour market and to have a good social inclusion for them,” the Romanian State Secretary said.
He also said he was “very happy” to be invited by the Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports to the first Global Forum on Youth Policies. “I’m looking forward to attending all the panels. I want to participate in all the events of the three-day forum. In the next panel I will be one of the speakers. And I’m also looking forward to it.”
Mr. Cosmin said the Romanian city of Cluj will be the youth capital of Europe next year, saying he believes that “many of the guests here will also join us in Romania for this event”. “It is very important for Romania and for Europe,” he added.
The Romanian State Secretary hailed his country`s relations with Azerbaijan: “We have a partnership. We have a strategic partnership. Romania is the only European country that signed a strategic partnership with Azerbaijan in 2009.”
He also expressed confidence that “during the next couple of days in Baku I will be able to visit the old city and also the seaside. And I’m looking forward to meeting people and understanding more about the Azerbaijani culture”.
