Russian citizen removed from the list of foreign citizens who illegally visited occupied territories of Azerbaijan

Citizen of the Russian Federation, chairman of the Communist Social Justice Party and Grand Master of the Grand Masonic Lodge of Russia Andrey Bogdanov has had his name removed from the list of foreign citizens who illegally visited the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan after he apologized in a letter sent to the country`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Bogdanov expressed his full respect for the territorial integrity, sovereignty and laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognized borders. He said his visit to the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan was not intentional, adding he was unaware of the consequences of the trip. He stressed that the visit was not aimed against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Bogdanov also noted that his visit in no way served to promote the illegal regime established in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. He apologized to the government and people of Azerbaijan for “an unauthorized visit to the occupied territories”, vowing this will never happen again.
