Russian company bought airport in Iran

The Russian company "Regiontransneft" has bought in property an airfield complex in the Iranian city of Qom for 2,8 billion euros, the Iranian newspaper Free Zones News has reported.
According to RIA Novosti, "The Russian company "Regiontransneft" has started implementation of the complex project on construction and start in operation of a number of real estate objects in the Islamic Republic of Iran on the island Kish and the city of Qom. The project belonged to local private Iranian holding earlier, the total cost of the transaction makes 2,8 billion euros. "The Russian company plans to build also the railway station for freights and passengers and the bus terminal" — it is said in the reference. Further Regiontransneft plans to create flight training centers, the centers of maintenance of aircrafts in the city of Qom. Development in this field of pilgrim tourism will become one of important factors that assumes construction of hotels and the accompanying infrastructure.
