Schlumberger announces net loss of $204 million in October-December period of 2016

The world's biggest oilfield services company Schlumberger's revenue fell 8.2 percent in fourth quarter last year to $7.11 billion, from the same period the previous year.

In final quarter of 2015, the firm posted revenue of $7.74 billion.

Schlumberger announced a net loss of $204 million in October-December period of 2016. This was, however, was an improvement from the net loss of $1 billion from the same period of 2015.
