Shahriyar Mammadyarov half a point behind leaders of Qatar Masters Open 2015

Shahriyar Mammadyarov, the Azerbaijani grand master, scored a half a point each at the “Qatar Masters Open 2015” chess tournament, in Doha.

The tournament brought together 141 chess players and 89 grand masters.

Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Anish Giri (Netherland), Li Chao (China), Maksim Matlakov (Russia) and Wesley So are leaders after 4 rounds.

Shahriyar Mammadyarov chose the white piece, meaning to play white with the Russian grand master Denis Khismatullin.

Shahriyar Mammadyarov defeated Natalya Jukova from Ukraine in the first round, draw against Jong Jang from Singapore in the second round, defeated Alexander from America in the third round and draw against Danil Dubov in the fourth round.

The fund price of the tournament which will last until December 30 stands at $130,000
