Baku, December 1, AZERTAC

Six children died in a blaze in southeast Turkey on Tuesday morning in an incident initially blamed on an electric heater, health officials said, according to Anadolu Agency.

Another three were injured when fire broke out in a two-story building in Kulp, a town around 95 kilometers (59 miles) northeast of provincial capital Diyarbakir.

The children's ages were not immediately available.

Local reports said the building housed a religious school.

The injured children were taken to Dr. Abdullah Birogul State Hospital for treatment.
