Socialist leader gains over 50 pct of votes in Moldova's presidential elections

After counting 32% of the votes in the elections of the President of Moldova, leader Igor Dodon from 55.01%, who plays for the country’s rapprochement with Russia, local media reported, according to News-original.ru.

In the elections of the President of Moldova leads the candidate who stands for closer ties with Russia. It is the leader «of the party of socialists» Igor Dodon, already voted for it 55,01% of voters.

His opponent, leader of the «party of action and solidarity» Maia Sandu designed to preserve the Pro-European course of 30.6%.

We will remind as it was reported earlier, President of the country claim nine people: the President of the Liberal party Mikhail Ghimpu, the head of the European people’s party of Moldova Iurie Leanca, the leader of the party «Action and solidarity» Maia Sandu, the President of the party of socialists Igor Dodon, the leader of the «Right» Ana Gutu and representing «Our party» Dmitry Chubashenko and three independent candidates — Silvia Radu, Maya Laguta and Valeriu Ghiletchi.
