Three injured and two arrested after car ploughs into pedestrians on busy London street

Baku, March 26, AZERTAC

Three people have been injured after a car ploughed into pedestrians on a busy London street, according to Mirror.

Emergency services were called to the incident outside the Old Queen's Head pub on Essex Road in Islington at 10.55pm on Saturday night.

Paramedics treated victims who were lying injured on the pavement.

Police said several people inside the car fled the scene.

Two men were later arrested.

The incident is not currently being treated as terror-related.

It comes just days after four people were killed and dozens more injured when terrorist Khalid Masood drove a car at pedestrians then stabbed a policeman in Westminster.
