Turkic Council education ministers meet in Astana VIDEO

The 4th session of the ministers of education of the Turkic Council, the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, has been held in Astana.
Kazakh Minister of Education and Science Aslan Sarinzhipov, Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ramil Hasanov, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Qurbanov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Adilet Bekboyev and Undersecretary of National Education Yusuf Tekin attended the meeting.
The participants discussed a number of issues, including the content of educational programs and publication of textbooks on history, geography and literature. They also focused on cooperation between the Turkic Academy and the Union of Turkic Speaking States Universities.
Addressing the meeting, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov said members of the Turkic Council are bound together by ties of language, religion, culture and history. He stressed the importance of the organization`s activity, saying “in a short space of time the Turkic Council gained international recognition”.
He highlighted the 2007-2015 state program for education of Azerbaijani youth abroad.
Darkhan Kydyrali, President of the International Turkic Academy, said "Joint Turkish history" book has already been compiled.
Secretary General of the Turkic Council Ramil Hasanov said member countries plan to conduct an exchange program for middle school students in 2016.
Members of Turkic Council signed a protocol on cooperation. Kazakhstan was chosen as the next meeting's host.
