Turkish journalists visit Azerbaijan`s Jojug Marjanli village

The State Committee for Refugees and IDPs have organized a trip for heads of Turkish leading media outlets and journalist organizations to Azerbaijan`s Jojug Marjanli village, which was retaken from Armenian occupation.

The trip was organized as part of the project "Azerbaijan-Turkey brotherly relations: through the eyes and words of journalists".

Deputy Chairman of the State Committee Fuad Huseynov, head of Jabrayil District Executive Authority Kamal Hasanov, MPs Ganira Pashayeva and Astan Shahverdiyev briefed the delegation on the atrocities committed by Armenians in the occupied Azerbaijani lands, as well as the demining operations in the area and construction works carried out in accordance with the Order of President Ilham Aliyev on restoration of the village of Jojug Marjanli.

The delegation then visited the local family which had lived under fire in Jojug Marjanli for 24 years.

The Turkish delegation expressed their hope that the conflict will be peacefully solved.
