Baku, October, 9, AZERTAC
Presidents of the Visegrad Four countries and Croatia are meeting today for a two-day-long discussion in Hungary’s Balatonfured on topics including immigration, climate change, and the Western Balkan situation, Hungarian online daily origo.hu reported today.
Hungary’s President Janos Ader summoned the convention, where the leaders of the V4 countries are to meet first, and be joined later by Croatia’s President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic. Participants on behalf of the V4 countries include Czech President Milos Zeman, Polish President Andrzej Duda, and Slovak President Andrej Kiska.
Grabar-Kitarovic and Ader already met to discuss the migration crisis yesterday, origo.hu reported. In a joint press conference afterwards, the two heads of state agreed that the current migration situation is neither Hungary’s nor Croatia’s problem, and that the EU and the international community needs to take joint steps in order to solve the issue. They reportedly emphasized the importance of the two countries’ ties.
