World-class stars to compete at European Chess Club Cup 2015 in Skopje

The world-class stars will compete at the European Chess Club Cup 2015 in Skopje, Macedonia, from 17-25 October.
Top seeded Socar Azerbaijan will play with a full squad including Veselin Topalov (2816) Shahriyar Mammadyarov (2808), Anish Giri (2791), Michael Adams (2740), Teymur Rajabov (2738), Rauf Mammadov (2655), and Eltaj Safarly (2649).
Another Azerbaijani club "Odlar Yurdu" will include Vasif Durarbeyli (2630), Emil Sutovski (2619), Gadir Huseynov (2616), Nijat Mammadov (2597), Ulvi Bajarani (2515), Nijat Abbasov (2510), Vugar Rasulov (2504) and Zaur Mammadov (2482).
The cup is organized by European Chess Union and under the patronage of municipality of Karpos and chess school Gambit Asseco. From each National Club Championship in European countries, one to four clubs qualify to the European Club Cup, depending on the strength of each national event. The European Club Cup will be held in 7 rounds for both categories (open/men teams with 6 boards and women teams with 4 boards), played with the Swiss system.
