Baku, May 15, AZERTAC

The Nepalese army said Friday it located debris from a U.S. military helicopter that disappeared on Tuesday while delivering aid to earthquake victims.

Nepal's Defense Secretary Iswori Poudyal said army rescuers found three bodies at the site where the wreckage of the Huey helicopter was found.

The Nepalese authorities said it was unlikely survivors would be found.

The crash site is in the mountains northeast of Kathmandu, an area not easily reachable by air or road. No other details were given.

The U.S. military also confirmed that wreckage has been discovered about 50 miles northeast of Nepal's capital Kathmandu after sending its own rescue team.

Around 300 U.S. military personnel have been supporting the aid mission in Nepal.
