'Azerbaijani-Iranian cooperation plays important role in cementing regional stability'

"Azerbaijani-Iranian cooperation plays an important role in terms of cementing regional stability" said country`s Deputy Prime Minister, deputy chairman and executive secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov as he met Governor of Iranian Gilan province, Mohammadali Najafi.

The Deputy Premier stressed the role of visit of the Governor of Gilan province in developing Azerbaijani-Iranian ties.

On successfully developing relations of both countries, Ali Ahmadov said, "It is mutual friendship and fraternity that lie at the heart of our ties".

The Deputy Prime Minister also stressed importance of reciprocal visits of both countries` heads of states.

Mohammadali Najafi, in turn, highlighted cooperation of his region with Azerbaijan in various fields. The governor said the meetings, events contributed to developing bilateral ties between both countries.
