Baku, July 14, AZERTAC
Today, Azerbaijan is one of those countries, where the level of unemployment among the youth is low. The level of unemployment among the youth of 15-24 ages is 13.5%, while European Union faces 20.6%. It`s not an accidental that Azerbaijan was among 10 leading countries declared by the UN for the youth employment in the world, as well as the International Labour Organization has included Azerbaijan to the list of 41 countries for the country`s solid legal base in ensuring the productive employment of the young people, for practical work experience, said Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Salim Muslumov as he addressed a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to Mr. Muslumov, the e-registration of labor contracts, which first time in the CIS was established in Azerbaijan, created opportunities for productive state control in ensuring the labor rights. "2 million 360 thousand labor contracts were included to the system by 55 thousand employers over 262 thousand active workers until the 1st July of 2015. The changes in the system allow to control the processes in the labor market of the country and to prepare relevant proposals," he added.
