Azerbaijan's Embassy to Austria in partnership with the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and the embassies of Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan organized "Trans-Caspian East-West Trade and Transit Corridor" Forum in Vienna.
In his opening remarks, Vice-President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Richard Schenz hailed the importance of the East-West transport corridor and highlighted its possible contributions to the development of trade and economic cooperation between Europe and Asia.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Austria Galib Israfilov thanked the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and the embassies of Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan for their assistance in organizing “such an important forum”. "The East-West Trade and Transit Corridor is not just a transport corridor, it is what unites the cultures of the peoples living along the corridor," said Israfilov.
The forum also featured ad-hoc meetings between representatives of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Austrian companies.
