Armenian government continues to make statements against PACE principles and resolutions
Baku, October 7 (AZERTAC). “The international organizations are accountable for events taking place in Armenia”, said Ganira Pashayeva, member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe at the autumn session.
“Up to now, no official appeared in court for killing 10 people in Armenia in 2008. In spite of the fact that three years have passed, it is unknown, who gave instructions to realize this murder. Is it difficult to ascertain the identity of those, who gave the orders?! Who do you think could give similar instructions to law enforcement authorities? No official has been dismissed after the death of these people. How do you think, why president will not take any steps? Most of you know the answers to these questions, but the Assembly was content with release of illegally detained people in three years”, she said.
Pashayeva said that if international organizations, PACE, would have taken a tough stance, a few years ago, when 250 thousand Azerbaijanis, citizens of that country, were subjected to ethnic cleansing, expulsion and murder, similar events would possibly not recur.
Azerbaijani MP said weapons that the Armenian government used against Azerbaijanis, are now directed against their own people. The government of Armenia ignores PACE resolutions. The result of PACE`s loyalty is that the head of the state dares make statements that contradict all principles and resolutions of the organization.
Pashayeva expressed her hope that the members of the Assembly will take a tough stance so that such statements would not be repeated for future of Europe.
