Astronomers from Japan found on the Moon “traces of life”
Baku, February 1, AZERTAC
According to a study published by Japanese scientists in the journal Nature Astronomy on the Moon are “signs of life”, most of which is oxygen from the atmosphere of the Earth.
The article says that with the help of the satellite SELENE (Selenological and Engineering Explorer) astronomers have obtained the information, the analysis of which showed that the lunar regolith at a depth of several microns oxygen is present.
Scientists have determined that it appeared there about two and a half billion years ago, having come from the earth’s atmosphere. According to the authors of the study, thus, the satellite kept the old matter of the Earth.
