Azerbaijan, Morocco discuss cooperation
Baku, April 3 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani ambassador to Morocco Sabir Agabayov has met the country`s tourism minister Lahcen Haddad.
Agabayov handed over a letter of Azerbaijani culture and tourism minister Abulfas Garayev to Haddad who invites the Moroccan minister to participate in tourism exhibition to be held in Baku on April 12-14.
The ambassador briefed the Moroccan minister on the history and culture of Azerbaijan, as well as Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He said his country supports Morocco on the Western Sahara issue and official Rabat backs Azerbaijan on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The diplomat praised Azerbaijan-Morocco cooperation within international organizations. He noted the election of Azerbaijan and Morocco as non-permanent members of the UN Security Council would give impetus to development of cooperation between the two countries.
The Moroccan minister spoke of his country`s political relations with Azerbaijan. He underlined the importance of expansion of Azerbaijan-Morocco cooperation in other spheres.
Haddad also hailed cooperation between Azerbaijan and Morocco within the UN and OIC.
He expressed assurance that Azerbaijan-Morocco relations would further continue.
