Azerbaijan to attend 1st international conference on teaching cultural heritage and socialization in Spain
Baku, September 12 (AZERTAC). Representatives of “Miras” Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage will participate in the first international conference on teaching the Cultural Heritage and socialization in Caceres, Spain.
The conference is supported by the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
The organizers of the conference are “Underground Archaeology” Organization and Caceres City Council and Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage Association.
Scientists and cultural figures from Brazil, Italy, Portugal, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Chile and other countries will participate in the international event.
The Azerbaijani delegation will deliver a presentation on “Medieval Agshu Town archaeological tourism complex”.
“Medieval Aghsu Town” archaeological tourism complex project has been realized under the support of Aghsu intellectuals at initiative of “MIRAS” Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage since March 2010.
The purpose is to investigate historical monuments of Aghsu region aside Azerbaijan`s tourism routes and draw the attention of tourists to this area bringing them to a due position.
Aghsu was the largest city of Azerbaijan for the number of population in XVIII century. The castle built by Nadir shah nearby Agsu village in May 1735 was a considerable residence in this area for a long time.
