Azerbaijani delegation attending JATA Travel Showcase
Baku, September 13 (AZERTAC). A delegation of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Culture and Tourism is participating in the JATA TABIHAKU Travel Showcase 2013 in Tokyo, Japan on September 12-15.
The exhibition, organized by the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), is one of the largest tourist exhibitions in Asia where world`s tourist organizations and companies from more than 150 countries gather to provide the latest tourism information directly to visitors.
This year, JATA has decided to rename the event as JATA TABIHAKU International Travel Show in what it calls “a move to reflect a more global posture with increased efforts to promote all sectors of Japan`s tourism industry - outbound, inbound and domestic.”
This year`s edition of the yearly JATA travel show has a pretty ambitious line-up, as it includes two heads from the most influential global travel and tourism organizations—Taleb Rifai, the secretary general of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), and David Scowsill, the president and CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council.
