Azerbaijan`s top diplomat meets minister for Foreign Affairs of Greece
Baku, September 26 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has met his Greek counterpart Dimitris Avramopoulos, on the sidelines of his participation in the 67th session of the United Nations.
Mr. Mammadyarov touched upon the economic reforms carrying out in the country, as well as the successes gained as a result of the policy of diversification of the national economy.
The Minister stressed importance of investigation of the increasing of the bilateral visits of both countries economic missions, in order to improve the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Greece.
Dimitris Avramopoulos, in turn, noted that Greece was interested in the development of bilateral relations, especially in expansion of cooperation in the energy and tourism spheres.
The Greek Minister said that Azerbaijan possessed a strong and diversified economy and had not suffered from economic crisis.
He also updated on the progress achieved in the direction of the diversification of economy.
