Baku, October 5 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC) and Argentina’s National New Agency TELAM have today signed an agreement on cooperation in Baku.

The agreement was signed by Director General of AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov and TELAM´s Manager for Institutional Development Juan Manuel Fonrouge on the sidelines of “Modern mass media and new challenges” round-table meeting as part of the 2nd International Humanitarian Forum at Kempinsky Hotel Badamdar.

The document provides for the development of cooperation between the two agencies in exchanging news, photo and video material. The agreement will see AZERTAC and TELAM cooperate in the fields of journalism and corporate management.

In a brief talk with journalists following the signing ceremony Mr. Aslanov and Mr. Fonrouge expressed confidence the agreement would contribute to deepening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Argentina in the field of information.

Then two agencies agreed to cooperate in different areas, including daily free exchange of news in various formats in English language, for its distribution in the local media, with the condition of citing the source; exchange of news services through new and available technologies with the condition that each part will give to the other a user name and a password in order to facilitate the access to the services of each; exchange of photos and videos in relation to the technical capabilities of each part; organization of exchange of annual programs for professional, technical and administrative employees of each party; and coordination of bilateral cooperation within international organizations.

The parties agreed to use the information from the other part in its news bulletins and distribute it to their national media with the condition of citing the source and without changing anything or altering the content.

The agreement is valid for one year and takes effect upon the signing day. It shall be renewed automatically for further periods of one year unless one of the parties expresses its intention to terminate it.
