Baku hosts forum of young leaders from BSEC countries
Baku, June 27 (AZERTAC). The forum of young leaders from 11 countries of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) has been held in Baku.
The event is organized at the initiative of the Azerbaijani-American Youth Social Association and with the support of the Youth Foundation.
Speaking at the event, chairman of the Azerbaijani-American Youth Social Association Vugar Ahmadov noted that the forum aimed to increase the role of youth in developing civil society as well as building relationship between young people in the BSEC member countries.
Head of the sector work with socio-political organizations of the Department for Public and Political Affairs at the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Elmar Pashayev delivered a speech at the event.
Head of the NGO Forum of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), MP Azay Guliyev noted the forum would contribute to expanding and strengthening the relations between the youth of the region.
He said a decision was made in May in Ankara to set up the Youth League of the organization with the head office in Trabzon.
Azerbaijani MP Asef Hajiyev said that throughout history the Black Sea region has always been the centre of attention and now even countries that are not part of the BSEC are actively involved in its activities.
