Božo Ljubić hails activity of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Baku, February 5 (AZERTAC). “A range of humanitarian projects supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation were carried out in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We hail the inaugural of the “Friendship Park” attended by Vice-President of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva in Sarajevo,” the Speaker of House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Božo Ljubić said to journalists.
Ljubić stressed the historically deep relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Their fate was similar after restoration of freedom. Azerbaijan is an influential country not only in the South Caucasus, but also in the Balkans. It plays an important role in implementation of the investments in the Balkan region. We hope that the ties between our countries in economic field will develop in future,” the speaker added.
Stressing that the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina had adopted a statement on Azerbaijan`s integrity and sovereignty, Božo Ljubić underlined the importance of settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peacefully within the statements of the UN Security Council and OSCE principles.
