Eurovision 2013 nominated for Swedish TV award
Baku, August 17 (AZERTAC). The Grand Final of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest and its Executive Producer, Martin Österdahl, have been nominated in the category "Best Entertainment Program" at this year's prestigious Kristallen Awards in Sweden,
The 2013 edition of Europe's favourite TV show in Malmö was a resounding success and in recognition of this the show has been nominated for the very prestigious Kristallen Award in the category of "Best Entertainment Program". The awards will take place on the 30th of August.
As the official television awards in Sweden, they can be compared to the likes of BAFTA in the United Kingdom where the very best TV productions are nominated in a variety of categories. The awards are administered by Det Svenska Tevepriset and have taken place since 2005.
The 2013 Eurovision Song Contest was held at the Malmö Arena in Malmö, Sweden on the 14th, 16th and 18th of May where Denmark's Emmelie de Forest took home victory with her song Only Teardrops.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2013 was the 58th annual Eurovision Song Contest. The contest took place in Malmö, Sweden, following Loreen's win in the 2012 contest with the song "Euphoria". It was the fifth time that Sweden had hosted the contest, the last time being in 2000. Sveriges Television (SVT) chose Malmö Arena as the venue following the consideration of several venues in Sweden. The host for the contest was Petra Mede.
