International Court of Justice unanimously turns down Armenia’s request of 12 May
Baku, July 12, AZERTAC
The International Court of Justice has ruled on July 6, 2023 to unanimously reject Armenia’s request of 12 May 2023 to modify the Court’s order of 22 February 2023 concerning Armenia’s proceedings against Azerbaijan over the application of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan told AZERTAC.
Thus, the Court reaffirmed as groundless the Armenia’s request to modify the order of February 22, 2023 with provisional measure requiring Azerbaijan to “withdraw any and all personnel deployed on or along the Lachin Corridor since 23 April 2023 and refrain from deploying any such personnel on or along the Lachin Corridor”.
Contrary to Armenia’s lies, the International Court of Justice said it has not defined Azerbaijan’s violation of the order of 22 February with regard to the border checkpoint’s impeding the movement along the Lachin road.
The Ministry urged Armenia to comply with the decision calling to refrain from any action, which might aggravate the dispute, and put an end to any actions that hamper the normal functioning of the Lachin checkpoint.
