Istanbul hosts meeting of Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States working group on tourism
Istanbul, December 11 (AZERTAC). Istanbul hosted the first meeting of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (CCTS) working group on tourism on December 10.
Attended by representatives culture and tourism ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and the Northern Cyprus, the meeting featured discussions on expansion of relations in tourism sector, strengthening of exchange of experience and cooperation within governmental and non-governmental sectors, as well as joint participation in regional and international fairs. Head of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking Countries Halil Akinci addressed the meeting.
The participants also discussed a draft document of the Joint Cooperation Protocol which is expected to be signed at a meeting of Tourism Ministers of CCTS member states in 2014.
The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was established in 2009 as an international intergovernmental organization, with the overarching aim of promoting comprehensive cooperation among Turkic Speaking States. Its four founding member States are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
