Japanese embassy hosts presentation on Azerbaijani culture
Baku, February 10 (AZERTAC). Japan`s Embassy in Baku has hosted the presentation on the Azerbaijani culture for Japanese members of the a joint interparliamentary friendship group.
According to press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Japanese co-chair of the friendship group Akira Amari, secretary general Akihiro Ohata and Deputy Director General for European Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the country`s special representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia Toyohisa Kozuki attended the event.
Azeri Ambassador to Japan Gursel Ismayilzade spoke of Azerbaijan`s culture “which combines elements belonging to different civilizations”.
He said Azerbaijani mugham is included in UNESCO`s representative list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The diplomat said Azerbaijan and Japan will soon celebrate the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations, adding celebrations will feature cultural events and scientific conferences.
Amari praised the Azerbaijan-Japan relations.
