Kazakh writer’s book unveiled in Baku
Baku, March 6 (AZERTAC). A presentation of the book by Kazakh writer Berik Shakhanov published in Azeri language was held at the Union of Writers of Azerbaijan.
The book called "Tales of the Great Steppe" comprises of eight short stories and one novel.
Editor and author of the foreword Elchin Huseynbeyli spoke about how the idea to translate azakh writer’s pieces into Azerbaijani occurred.
"I am happy that my works have been translated into Azerbaijani. Kazakhstani readers are familiar with the works of Azerbaijani poets and writers, such as Samad Vurgun, Mehdi Huseyn, Rasul Rza, they have been translated into Kazakh," said Berwick Shakhanov.
The event was attended by Azerbaijani writers, representatives of the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan.
