PRESIDENT ORDERS TO SET UP STATE COMMISSION TO PREVENT BIRD FLU OUTBREAK IN AZERBAIJAN
According to the Order, Abbas Abbasov, the Fist Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan was appointed as Chairman of the Commission, which also included Ministers of Agriculture, Economic development, Ecology and natural resources, Finance, Emergency situations, Health, Interior, as well as Chairman of the State customs committee, Chief of the State frontier service, Head of the department for working with regional and local governance bodies at the Presidential Administration, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Health/Chief sanitary inspector and Head of the State Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture.
The Order assigned the State Commission to prepare and approve in two days a plan of emergency preventive measures against the bird flu, insure daily reporting on the bird flu situation to the mass media, submit proposals on funding the preventive measures against the bird flu by the state budget and international financial structures, and keep the President informed on the work done on a regular basis.
