TENDERS AT BAKU INTERBANK CURRENCY EXCHANGE
In the morning, according to the results of voice tenders, the volume of deals with the participation of 3 banks came to 800 thousand dollars. The opening rate of tenders was fixed as 4917 AZM for 1 USD. The offer met demand and the closing rate of the session remained unchanged, information and analytical department of Exchange reports.
The price of the American currency in banking applies in the exchange system of electronic tender BEST was fixed within the limits of average rate. The amount of 3,124 million USD, or 15,360 billion AZM was fixed on USD/AZM instrument T+0 in BEST. This amount increased the sum of deals by 49,1 percent made at the exchange on this instrument on July 31. Some 312,4 thousand dollars came to the share of each deal. No deals were made on T+1, T+2 instruments due to the absence of dealers’ demand. No applies were put forward by the banks on EUR/AZM, RUR/AZM in BEST.
According to the results of the trading week, 59 deals for the total sum of 19,503 million USD have been made in the currency section of the exchange. Some 7 million or 35,89 percent out of this amount comes to the share of deals on T+1 instrument. In the whole, the share of electronic deals on foreign currency reaches 88,9 percent in the total circulation of the currency section.
At the Organized Interbank Credit Market, functioning within the BEST system, the National Bank put forward the applies on placing AZM credits for the total amount of 1,1, billion manats at the annual interest rate of 10 percent. No deals on credit instruments were made at the exchange between banks on August 1.
