The official opening ceremony of the QS Higher Ed Summit: Europe 2026 was held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, on June 24.
The summit, which focuses on global challenges and future prospects in higher education, has brought together university leaders, international experts, policymakers, and industry representatives from around the world.
The event features discussions on a range of topical issues, including the strategic development of higher education institutions, strengthening positions in international rankings, evolving skills requirements in the era of artificial intelligence, university-industry cooperation, digital transformation, and international partnerships.
Azerbaijan is represented at the summit by a delegation comprising representatives of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, the “Study in Azerbaijan” project, as well as rectors and officials from the country’s leading higher education institutions.
The event provides an important platform for strengthening the integration of Azerbaijan’s higher education system into the international academic community, promoting local universities globally, establishing new partnerships, and showcasing the country’s higher education potential to an international audience.
