“The global climate processes are not moving in the right direction. Unfortunately, we cannot say that weather conditions will always remain pleasant and favorable for living, or that water resources will always be abundant,” said Mukhtar Babayev, Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Climate Issues, addressing the 2nd LCOY2026 Azerbaijan Conference in Baku.
According to him, all forecasts show that the warming process will accelerate, while the number of natural disasters will increase, including a higher frequency of floods worldwide, as well as changes in the geographical distribution and volume of precipitation.
