BCAW2026 features discussion on innovations for a climate-resilient future

A discussion titled “Climate Resilience Technologies: Accelerating Innovation for a Climate-Resilient Future” was held as part of Baku Climate Action Week 2026 (BCAW2026).
The event addressed the impacts of climate change on the economy, infrastructure, food and water security, and business continuity, as well as the role of innovative technologies in identifying and mitigating climate risks.
In his remarks, Mirza Aliyev, Senior Manager at EY Azerbaijan, stressed that climate change is increasingly posing serious challenges to economic growth, infrastructure resilience, food and water security, and business continuity. Jamal Huseynov of the National Aviation Academy highlighted the role of modern technologies and scientific approaches in addressing climate risks, noting that innovative solutions can strengthen resilience, improve risk assessment, and minimize potential impacts.
Murad Jamalov, an official of Azercosmos, highlighted the role of climate resilience technologies in anticipating climate risks and supporting timely responses.
Discussions also focused on innovation, public-private cooperation, new technologies, and proactive climate action.
