Prime Minister Ali Asadov chaired a meeting of Azerbaijan’s Economic Council dedicated to the 2027 state budget and economic forecasts.
The agenda featured detailed discussions on the current economic situation and updated macroeconomic forecasts for 2026–2030, including state and consolidated budgets for 2026, indicators for the consolidated budget for the following three years, the main goals and targets of budget policy for 2027–2030, the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, the current state and policy directions of the financial and banking sector, and other issues.
Reports on the agenda items were presented by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev and Governor of the Central Bank Taleh Kazimov. Members of the Economic Council held extensive discussions on the issues presented.
At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant bodies were instructed to submit all documents and information included in the 2027 budget package, considering the opinions and proposals of Council members, to the Cabinet of Ministers.
