The Euronews TV channel has published a report highlighting the activities of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the organization, and efforts to transform regional dialogue into concrete cooperation.
Headlined “CICA members look to turn regional dialogue into action,” the article reads:
“The Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) brought together member states to discuss regional security, economic cooperation and shared challenges, with a focus on strengthening the organization's role and turning dialogue into practical action.
For more than three decades, the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) has provided a platform for dialogue among countries with different political and economic priorities. Its 28 members are now looking at ways to strengthen cooperation on regional security, economic development and emerging challenges.
Under Azerbaijan's chairmanship, which began in 2024, discussions have focused on strengthening the organization's institutional framework and making cooperation more practical. Migration, climate change and artificial intelligence were among the issues raised, alongside finance, education and business. As CICA enters a new phase, attention is turning to how member states can translate discussions into lasting cooperation.”
