Salyan, September 4 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has today attended the opening of Heydar Aliyev Center in Salyan.
Prior to the inauguration ceremony the Head of State met local residents. Honorary Teacher Yagut Alasgarova and Honorary Culture Worker Yaver Jabrayilov thanked the President for his attention to development of Salyan.
President Ilham Aliyev then cut a ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the center.
The Head of State was told that construction of the center began in December, 2011. The three-storey building occupies a total area of 626 square meters.
President Ilham Aliyev toured the center, which houses exhibition halls, administrative rooms, an electronic library, computer and information rooms, and a photo studio. The center will offer dancing, drawing, foreign language and chess courses.
The Head of State praised conditions created in the center.
