Baku, November 28 (AZERTAC). A “Scientific-technological statistics and indices in economic development period” seminar-training organized by the Science Development Fund (SDF) under the Azerbaijan President and the UNESCO took place at the Hilton-Baku Hotel.
The goal of the workshop is to become familiar with the appropriate data and statistics on science, technology and innovation policy, their analysis as well as discussion of dynamics of these data on the developing countries.
Executive Secretary of the Science Development Fund (SDF) under the Azerbaijan President Elchin Babayev spoke of the close ties between the country and UNESCO, stressing exclusive role of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the First Lady, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva in development of these ties.
Babayev also highlighted the actions and measures realized for development of science, scientific statistics data in the field of scientific researches and innovations and implementation of National Strategy on scientific development.
Gunay Efendiyeva, Secretary General of the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO spoke of the care and attention the Head of State and the First Lady give to the development of science, education and culture.
Eduardo Martinez, the UNESCO expert and other speakers expressed confidence for future effective results of the seminar-training.
The workshop will end on November 30. The attendees will get certificates.
