® Investments, foreign markets, and recruitment challenges: Key topics of discussion at the Move Real Estate Forum

The key topics to be discussed at the Move Real Estate Forum, an international real estate summit, have been announced. The event, scheduled for February 27-28 in Baku, will gather around 500 participants, including owners and heads of major development companies, as well as industry experts from Russia, Azerbaijan, Germany, Poland, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China, India, and Türkiye.

The summit program will be thematically structured. The first day, February 27, will focus on the specifics of Azerbaijan's development sector. Speakers will discuss the region's urban planning potential, the country's economy in the context of investment opportunities, and also highlight the characteristics and specifics of Azerbaijan's development market, prospects for the development of "new territories," and the progress of Comprehensive Territorial Development (CTD) projects. The summit program has been carefully designed by the organizers, primarily with practical benefits in mind. Participants will have the opportunity to closely examine the local market for investments or collaborations in the development sector, as well as plan their first steps toward entering a new region. Among the speakers on the first day of the summit are Riad Gasimov, Head of the Baku General Directorate for Architecture and Urban Planning, State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board; Gunay Saglam, CEO of the Azerbaijan Hotel Association; and Emin Agalarov, President of Agalarov Development and founder of Sea Breeze Resort.

February 28 will be International Day in the summit program, featuring speeches from speakers from Germany, Poland, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, India, China, and other countries. To provide insights into global development, experts will share their experience in international development, trends, and analyze real estate markets in various countries. For example, Anton Agapov, Director of Development of the Apart-Hotel YE'S, will present an analysis of the apart-hotel market in the CIS and friendly countries. The issue of staffing, which is a major concern in many countries, especially in the development sector, will be addressed in the speech by Dmitry Lapshinov, Co-founder and Managing Director of INTRUD. Together with his business partner from India, he will discuss large-scale recruitment of skilled personnel from the country. On the second day of the summit, notable speakers will include Oybek Nurmukhamedov, CEO of Murad Buildings (Uzbekistan), Eduard Stumpf, owner of the development company Altera GMBH (Germany), Denis Sokolov, partner and CEO of Commonwealth Partnership Uzbekistan (CMWP), Miroslaw Sztuka, CEO of the landscape bureau "S&P Architektura Krajobrazu," and top executives from leading development companies in Türkiye and Saudi Arabia.

The headliner of the Move Real Estate Forum, an international real estate summit, will be Sergei Tchoban, a world-renowned architect and recipient of the European Prize for Architecture. His notable projects include the Cubix Cinema and the DomAquare in Germany, the Federation Tower in Moscow-City, the Zotov Constructivism Research Center in Russia, and the Russian pavilion at EXPO 2020 in Dubai.

The summit is co-organized by Azerbaijan's leading development companies, PASHA Real Estate Group and SEA BREEZE.

“There are successful examples of Russian companies collaborating on construction and investment projects in Azerbaijan,” says Ozgur Geter, CEO of PASHA Real Estate Group. “Such projects have a positive economic impact, creating jobs and focusing on urban renewal.” He notes that Azerbaijan’s robust economic growth, favorable investment policies, and strategic location—just a two-hour flight from Moscow, Dubai, and Istanbul—make the country an attractive destination for real estate and infrastructure projects.

Emin Agalarov, President of Agalarov Development and founder of Sea Breeze Resort, highlights the active growth of Azerbaijan’s real estate market: “The annual growth rate is 8%. Developed infrastructure and affordable property prices make Azerbaijan, especially Baku, appealing to investors and create a favorable climate in this sector. Over the past few years, the share of investors from Russia in the Sea Breeze project has increased to 7%. Azerbaijan continues to evolve as a modern, secular state, hosting international events.”
