79th Venice Film Festival program announced

The films that will be included in the program of the 79th Venice Film Festival, which will be held between 31 August and 10 September this year, have been announced. This year, many important directors will present their new films to the audience for the first time in Venice. The latest films from directors such as Noah Baumbach, Darren Aronofsky, Alejandro González Iñárritu and Luca Guadagnino will compete in Venice.
The festival will open with Noah Baumbach’s “White Noise” starring Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig. Baumbach’s adaptation of Don DeLillo is a Netflix original oil, thus marking the first time a Netflix film has been selected as the opening film of the Venice Film Festival.
Also in the main competition; “Bones and All”, which brings together Luca Guadagnino and Timothee Chalamet again, “Blonde”, the biopic by Andrew Dominik in which Ana de Armas plays Marilyn Monroe, and Florian Zeller, who attracted all the attention with the movie “Father” starring Anthony Hopkins. ‘s second film “The Son” and films by many master directors such as Darren Aronofsky, Alejandro González Iñárritu and Jafar Panahi will compete.
American actress Julianne Moore is the jury president of the 79th Venice Film Festival. Other names on the jury are: Audrey Diwan, Leonardo Di Costanzo, Mariano Cohn, Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Leila Hatami and Kazuo Ishigurok.
