AzerTAg.az
Some 1,342 billion kwt/hrs of electric energy has been generated in the system of ‘Azenergy’ Stock Company in the first half of 2003.Some 1,171 kwt/hrs out of this volume were produced at thermal stations, and 171 million kwt/hrs – at hydraulic power stations, Central dispatcher department of Azenergy reports. Production of electric power increased in June by 1 million kwt/hrs, or 9 percent as compared to the same period of 2002. It is remarkable that production of electric power at hydraulic stations has increased twice, and it is explained by water inflow and active exploitation of hydraulic stations. In addition, in May, the ‘Azenergy’ SC went on overflows with neighboring states – Russia, Iran and Turkey. For the first half of 2003, production within the system of Azenrgy comes to more than 10,995 billion kwt/hrs of electric energy, that is more by 1 billion kwt/hrs, or 13 percent as compared to the last year’s data.
