ACCOUNTING CHAMBER DELEGATION BACK FROM MANILA
AzerTAj was reported in the press service of the Accounting Chamber of the republic, 144 representatives and monitors from 36 Asian countries, as well as heads of supreme financial inspections of Australia and News Zealand were participating in the Assembly. Azerbaijan was represented by the delegation led by Chairman of the Accounting Chamber Namiq Nasrullayev.
The importance of strengthening of supreme financial inspection in corruption combat and money laundering were key issues discussed at the Assembly. The necessity of according the changes of national laws in this field, widening of responsibilities of supreme organs of financial control of Asia-Pacific countries in corruption combat was pointed out.
Representatives of Azerbaijan were taking an active part in discussions on these issues and on the topic “Quality of management in governmental audit”.
New members of the steering organs of ASOSAI were elected at the Assembly. At the offer of the delegation of Azerbaijan, representatives of supreme organs of financial inspection of Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey were elected as members of the steering organ of that organization.
Besides, he delegation of Azerbaijan held negotiations with the delegations of Australia, Georgia, Russia, Pakistan, Israel, Iran, Philippines, and Indonesia on perspectives of bilateral cooperation.
