ACTU HELD CONFERENCE DEVOTED TO ILO ACTIVITIES

Confederation of the Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (ACTU) held in Sumgait a conference on the topic “Main Conventions of the World Labour Organization (ILO) and trade Unions”.

Opening the conference, deputy of the ACTU Agil Dadashov spoke of the work aimed at resolving social-economic problems of the staff of International Labour Organization, noted that up to date the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Republic has ratified 54 Conventions of ILO.

National coordinator of ILO in Azerbaijan Yashar Hamzayev delivered a lecture on the topic “General information on ILO and its activity in Azerbaijan”.

Participants of the conference listened lectures on numerous topics bound with the role and position of the trade unions in the conditions of market economy, main Conventions of ILO, Convention of ILO and labour legislation of Azerbaijan Republic.
