AIDA holds 5th capacity-building training course
Baku, May 14 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) has launched its 5th capacity-building training course entitled “Advancements in Reservoir Petroleum Engineering and Enhanced Oil Recovery Methods” in Baku.
The training was organized in partnership with the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) and Geo-technological Problems of Oil, Gas and Chemistry Research Institute of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy.
Sponsors of the seven-day course are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia, the Colombian Presidential Agency of International Cooperation (APC-Colombia), University of Salford and the Australian College of Kuwait (ACK).
Some 20 specialists from 10 major oil producing countries, including Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Kuwait, China, India, Mexico, Colombia, Yemen and Sudan are participating in the training course.
Along with leading Azerbaijani experts on oil and gas prominent international academics will also deliver lectures during the course. The event will allow the participants to share the best practices and expertise in the oil and gas production.
Geo-technological Problems of Oil, Gas and Chemistry Research Institute will discuss prospects for cooperation with the participating institutions.
The event will also see the signing of several memorandums of understanding on joint researches.
