AITF 2010 TO FEATURE PARTICIPANTS FROM 24 COUNTRIES
Baku, April 27 (AZERTAC). The Ninth Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair will feature over 120 participating companies from 24 countries, Farid Mammadov, Executive Director of ITECA Caspian told press conference on April 27.
The exhibition’s coverage has increased 20% against 2009. This year, 14 countries will participate in the exhibition with national stands. These include regular AITF exhibitors - Azerbaijan, Georgia, Greece, Malaysia, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Czech Republic – and newcomers - Egypt, India, Italy (Lazio, Rome), Mauritius, UAE and Russia. For the first time, Turkey will act as the country partner of the AITF exhibition.
AITF, the only specialized tourism exhibition in the region, will take place on 28-30 April in the Heydar Aliyev Sport and Concert Complex. The show is officially supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan, World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Azerbaijan Tourism Association, and National Confederation of the Entrepreneurs (Employers`) Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic.
Regional tourism is widely presented this year. The entire pavilion will be devoted to holiday destinations, resorts and hotels in Azerbaijan. Visitors will be able to get a flavor of each region, and learn about the rich folklore, cuisine and traditions of the Azeri people.
