ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION CENTER CREATED IN AZERBAIJAN

Baku, July 14 (AZERTAC). Cattle-breeding is an important branch of agriculture which is intensively developing in Azerbaijan, the country`s minister of agriculture Ismet Abbasov said.

To this end, artificial insemination is expanded in live-stock farms. For the first time in the Caucasus, an artificial insemination center has been created in Azerbaijan, the Minister stressed.

Hitherto, about 500 artificial insemination technicians have been trained and equipped with necessary devices. Lat year, through artificial insemination 23 thousands head of cattle were produced, while in six months of current year the figure made up 17 thousands head of cattle.
